May 7, 2018 6:35 am

First off, I want to apologize (especially to John Bergener Jr.) for not being available as much as I should be to help with the various things happening within the CPNY.
It has been a tough year for me and my family since my Mother has passed away. Dealing with her death and the strain it has put on the remaining family as we close out my Mom’s life is what is most important to me, along with minor personal issues that need to be dealt with before they become major issues.

But it is also important that we think about the direction we are taking towards the success of the CPNY. With that in mind, I would like to talk about the following.

We need more than monthly conference calls that discuss good ideas but are never followed up with adequate action as we work to change the face of politics in New York. Until we change the way we operate as a party we will never accomplish any of our goals.
An organizational meeting with proper elections of officers in accordance with our bylaws is what is needed if the CPNY is ever going to pick itself up off the ground. Someone needs to be officially in charge, others need to step up locally and help. Could you be one of those people willing to help? Let me know.
With the above paragraph in mind, we need to appoint the following officers on an interim basis until proper elections are held.

State Chairman
The State Chairman shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Party and Chairman of the State Committee.

The State Chairman shall issue the call of all general meetings of the Party and the State Committee and preside, if present, overall such meetings and at Executive Committee meetings.

The State Chairman shall enforce all By-Laws of the Party.

The State Chairman shall appoint necessary members to all duly created committees with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee.

The State Chairman shall be a non-voting ex officio member of all committees

The State Chairman shall act as necessary to promote the functions of Party.

State Vice-Chairman
The Vice-Chairman. Shall become State Chairman in the event of a vacancy in the office of State Chairman.

The Vice-Chairman Shall act as State Chairman in the event of the State Chairman’s absence at any Party Function.

The Vice-Chairman shall perform all other duties that the State Chairman prescribes.

Executive Director
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization.

The Executive Director will also oversee fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

The Executive Director reports directly to the State Committee.

State Secretary

The State Secretary - The State Secretary shall be the chief clerical officer of the Party.

The State Secretary shall record all proceedings of the State Convention, State Committee, and the Executive Committee.

The State Secretary shall perform any other duties that the State Chairman prescribes.

The State Treasurer

The State Treasurer - The State Treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of the Party.

The State Treasurer shall be responsible for fulfilling Federal, State, and Local financial disclosure requirements.

The State Treasurer shall at the direction of the State Chairman issue checks in payment of Party Obligations.

The above positions are also available on a local level should you be interested.

We have a variety of ways that you can volunteer your time and talents to help us grow into the Party that we both know we can become.

With no membership dues or donations coming in, we have no financial means to accomplish anything.
I also live pay check to pay check and know what it is like to barely manage financially. However; I manage to donate monthly or as needed and furthered our cause by attending last Fall’s National Committee meeting in Pittsburgh and paying expenses out of pocket. Any amount of money will help. You can donate online on our website at or you can mail in a donation at P.O. Box 6021 Buffalo, New York 14224-2061.
We have an urgent need for donations to our candidates currently running for office.

Annual 2018 membership dues are payable online only using the link on the website. Dues are $20, and they entitle you to run for both local and state party officer positions, for publicly elected offices under our Constitution Party Name. And it also gives you voting privileges at state and local CPNY meetings.
All this combined gives you a voice in the daily operations and growth of the party. For only $20 I would say that is a bargain.

Speaking of donations,
State Assessment fees are paid from State Parties annually for purposes of affiliation and an increased number of delegates at National Committee Meetings and Conventions.

Without any attempt to help the national party, how can we expect them to help us accomplish our goals in New York such as ballot access? I don’t believe we have ever paid the above assessment fee in New York. Let’s get that paid so we can accomplish our goals. More details on this subject in our next conference call.

Time, effort, commitment, and money are what is needed to accomplish goals. Without those things, we will fail. That’s why we need solid, organized, dedicated leadership at the top. No one can do it by themselves.

We will discuss in more detail at next conference call to be held May 15, 2018, @ 8:30 pm

Number - 1.712.451.0751
